Not as cool as the Wheatley puppet I linked to on Twitter, but still damn impressive.

Hey, I’m buying a new PC. Can you recommend me some good gaming PCs?
August 23, 2011 at 12:04 pm |
Well I’ve got an Alienware M11x and I love the hell out of it. Apparently Alienwares are overpriced, but the design and lighting is worth it in my opinion.
I use my laptop instead of a PC, because it runs amazingly and I can take it anywhere. Let me know if you’re interested in any of the Alienwares, and if you aren’t, I’ll try and find the best computer I can with amazing specs and still a good price. If you do decide on an Alienware, I’ll give you my recommendation of a good configuration (e.g. Better processor) without all the overpriced, less necessary stuff (e.g. Solid State Hard Drives). I mean if you have enough money for the overpriced stuff, it’s worth it!
August 23, 2011 at 12:39 pm |
It’d be even easier if you had like a set budget, but I’ll help you find a nice PC/laptop.
August 23, 2011 at 7:40 pm |
I suggest you build your own computer.
It’s take a lot of effort but it’s about 2x more powerful at the same price.
August 23, 2011 at 9:02 pm |
I’m interested in Alienware Area-51 desktop. I’m also kinda interested in dimotion Modena M7G5, but Alienware is more powerful. Any other awesome PCs? Also, I don’t really have a budget, something less then 2000 euros.
August 24, 2011 at 1:09 am |
WOW! So you are going all out! I suppose that’s a good thing since the computer will have a more than decent lifespan. I’ve heard that Dell is making a new Alienware called Area-52, but not much information has been released, so it’s probably a while off. Just by playing around with the settings on the Area-51, the default one is amazing! But if you want to make a computer that will annihilate every video game known to man running at the same time, the cost goes up quickly. Also, building your own computer as suggested by Grey is a fantastic option if you have a basic idea of what to do/a tutorial online and you know a place/website where you can get great hardware at cheap prices.

Will do. I heard they announced the name of the trilogy recently?
August 31, 2011 at 7:50 pm |
Yep, they call it the Reclaimer Trilogy
September 4, 2011 at 11:07 am |
I have been thinking about getting a computer too. I have a very low budget but I don’t want a used computer because who knows what the first guy did with it?
September 4, 2011 at 11:50 am |
Sometimes people just sell their computers because they’re getting a better one and they need the money.
With a low budget, you’re probably looking at a decent desktop if you want power, or an average laptop if you want portability. With a budget, the main thing you’re looking for is a good processor. You’ll want at least a dual core, but if you can get an i3, i5 or i7, that’s even better.
September 5, 2011 at 11:10 am |
You have a good point but still…. I don’t want a hacker’s old computer or worse some perverted freak’s screwed up laptop. I can’t get another desktop. I’m just not willing to have to move another one across the country. I found some netbooks online that would work for my obsessive studying. hmmm…
September 5, 2011 at 12:45 pm |
That’s fair enough. I mean I use my laptop as a PC, but that’s because it’s a decent laptop. So yeah, if you can find a laptop with at least a dual core, it’ll run fine.
September 6, 2011 at 12:46 am |
Okay. Thanks!

September 13, 2011 at 11:27 pm |
My biggest tip that I can think of at the moment is to comment on similar websites to yours and VERY SUBTLY advertise your own site while complimenting theirs. For example ‘Wow! Your report on (topic of blogpost) was very interesting! I’ve done something similar on my site concerning (your topic of blogpost). I look forward to your next post!’. Not only does that make you sound sincere and interested in their site, compelling them to interact with you, it also gives them incentive to visit your site! Hope this helps.

Hey, what happened. You haven’t updated your site for ages… Again busy period?
October 2, 2011 at 5:39 pm |
You wouldn’t believe how busy, but I should be able to make a quick post soon.
October 24, 2011 at 8:26 am |
Hey Ryno, have you ever heard of StarLogo TNG?
October 24, 2011 at 3:10 pm |
Nope, but Google has.
October 28, 2011 at 12:34 am |
School dances suck… Wyatt and I just sat in the corner the whole time.
October 28, 2011 at 1:19 am |
I’ve found that things like school dances aren’t fun unless you get into it. I used to just sit and watch everyone else do stuff, and it bored me. But when I actually joined in, that’s when I started to have fun. So yeah, next time, give it a try.
October 28, 2011 at 1:48 am |
I guess I could have joined all of the people dancing but I wasn’t just going to leave Wyatt just sitting there. He did ask me to go with him to the dance…
October 28, 2011 at 2:04 am |
That’s when you’re supposed to drag him on to the dance floor, regardless of whether he thinks he wants to or not.
October 30, 2011 at 8:54 am |
Yeah, I remember when I used to sit on every dance party. Now I’m on of those party maniacs…
October 30, 2011 at 6:08 pm |
Just looked at some of my site stats. How did you manage to be the 2nd and 3rd top commenter at the same time?
November 1, 2011 at 8:38 am |
I don’t really know. Maybe I’m Chuck Norris’ brother.
November 14, 2011 at 3:53 pm |
hey you havent posted for ages… neither
November 14, 2011 at 9:53 pm |
That’s because of a mix between bad internet, assignments/tests and laziness.
November 16, 2011 at 11:57 am |
I lost internet for about three weeks and completely lost track of what my team is doing for the Supercomputing Challenge.
November 16, 2011 at 12:11 pm |
Wow, how long does it last?
November 17, 2011 at 6:08 am |
Mix of tests and laziness? With the game addiction flavor. My favorite mix! But seriously, I gotta stop playing so much games because I started screwing up at school. I moved to Austria and now new language, new system… Everything new. Plus me being unorganized… I really started bad this year. Multiple homeworks unfinished, not following my own plans, being too lazy to learn and lying to my mom (probably worst of all)… I really need to change because I don’t want to disappoint my parents!
November 17, 2011 at 3:00 pm |
Goddamn, that’s a heavy workload. I always try and split up the workload as evenly as possible with free time, so it only ever feels like I’m doing more fun stuff than school stuff. Actually works kinda well (in most cases
). But yeah, the hard part is finding a study system that works best for you.
November 17, 2011 at 10:08 am |
The Supercomputing Challenge is a year-long project. My team is simulating dog poop in the major rivers of the U.S. and its effects on ecosystems. The cool thing is that when I’m a senor in high school I could win this HUGE scholarship. I’m learning about programing now so maybe I might have a chance in a few years.
November 17, 2011 at 3:03 pm |
As in like studying how much dog poo would need to be in each river to make an environmental impact and what said impact would do? That sounds interesting, don’t wanna know how you came up with that experiment though.
A scholarship is an amazing prize too, so it’s definitely worth spending some free time on.
